Rumor has it that the much awaited iPhone 5 will not be released alone. Apple is reportedly going to ship two iPhone 5 iterations this fall. Previously, we've heard that the iPhone 5 is going to be totally redesigned and will sport an A5 dual-core processor. This rumor however, of the two iPhone 5 models, is rather interesting.
In terms of design, we think that the iPhone 5 may feature the Macbook Air like 'Teardrop' design. However, these two iPhone models, reportedly dubbed 'standard' and 'pro' could probably differ in design. The iPhone 5 'pro' may have a larger screen, greater storage and may also be a world phone supporting all U.S. carriers. The 'standard' iPhone 5 may be similar in design to the iPhone 5 with just a larger screen. Nevertheless, all of these are just rumors and we have yet to receive an official word from Apple.
The source claims that Apple has orders two sets of parts from its suppliers One set, it is believed, is low on quality. Whereas the other set is high on quality but both of these sets offer similar functions. Nevertheless, one should keep in mind the possibility that the low quality set of parts that Apple has ordered can be for the fifth-generation iPod touch as well.
On the other hand, the iPhone 5 released has been slated for Fall 2011, the same timeframe in which Apple launches new iPods. This further fuels the possibility that the low quality set of parts can be for the new iPod touch. However, if Apple is really releasing a 'Pro' iPhone 5, we're going to have one hell of an iPhone on our hands then.
Stay tuned as we'll bring you more updates on iPhone 5, as they develop.
