Everyone awaits the next-generation iPhone from Apple. With the iPhone 5, shall come iOS 5 which is going to be previewed at WWDC 2011 a few weeks from now. While previously we've heard that iOS 5 shall have greater cloud features, a revamped notification system a Find my Friends feature etc, this time word is that Apple has started widespread testing of iOS 5 and we shall expect iOS 5 public developer preview release soon.
9to5Mac first put out the image on the internet from which it is evident that iOS 5 is being tested on all devices and even on the iPhone 3GS, which hasn't been mentioned in the picture. For long, people have speculated that Apple may not support iPhone 3GS for any major future iOS release, however it looks like Apple is testing it out. No word as yet, whether or not the iPhone 3GS will support iOS 5.
We're sure of the fact that we could see iOS 5 release in the following couple of months. Before the get the final iOS 5 release, many iOS 5 beta versions will be released, and we shall be able to test them out. Lets just hope that at least the iOS 5 beta 1 is released soon enough.
