How To Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 Untethered On iPhone, iPad and iPod touch using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc15 [Tutorial]

This was fast! We knew that untethered iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak release was coming soon as Apple has not patched Stefan Esser's untethered exploit in iOS 4.3.3. Earlier today the iPhone Dev Team released both redsn0w and pwnagetool to jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 untethered. This tutorial will guide you through all the steps necessary in order to jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 untethered using redsn0w 0.9.6rc15.

Remember: If you rely on a carrier unlock for your iPhone, it is advised that you maintain distance from stock iOS 4.3.3 at this time, because upgrading to stock iOS 4.3.3 willupgrade your baseband causing you to lose your iPhone unlock.

Step 1: Download iOS 4.3.3 for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Step 2: Open iTunes and restore your device to iOS 4.3.3.

Step 3: Download Redsn0w. Extract the file and then run the program.

Step 4: Click on Browse and navigate to the path where you’re stored the previously downloaded iOS 4.3.3.ipsw file.

Step 5: Click Open. Redsn0w 0.9.6rc15 will now verify the .ipsw file. Once verification successfully completes, you will be shown the following message:

Step 6: Click Next. You will now be presented a couple of options. Check Install Cydia then click Next. You can also select any of the additional options given here.

Step 7: It is crucial that you make sure the device is both powered OFF as well as PLUGGED IN. Once you’ve made sure of that, click Next.

Step 8: Redsn0w will now present instructions on how to put your device in DFU mode. Simply follow the onscreen instructions to put your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch in DFU mode.

First, hold the Power button for 3 seconds. Then without releasing the Power button, press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the Power button but keep on holding the Home button for about 15 seconds. Your device will now enter DFU mode.

Step 9: Wait for Redsn0w to work its magic. From this point onwards, you don’t need to do anything. After a series of automated steps have completed on your computer, the rest will be automatically done on your iOS device. Once the process is complete, your device will restart and it will be running tethered jailbroken iOS 4.3.3.

Step 10: In order to run Cydia on your device or do anything that is related to jailbreak, you have to boot in tethered mode. Simply run Cydia and select the “Just boot tethered right now” to boot tethered jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch in jailbreak mode.
