Previously, we told you that an iOS 5 jailbreak can make third party widgets for Notification Center possible. Now, UISettings for iOS 5 is available for download in Cydia, and is the first third party widget for the Notification Center in iOS 5.
If you are familiar with SBSettings, you won't have to think twice about the features of UISettings. It is basically SBSettings in form of a widget running in the Notification Center.
So once you install UISettings on your iOS 5 jailbroken device, it will appear straight away in the Notifications Center, without the need of a restart. UISettings will be above the notifications and below the stock widgets in Notification Center. Using UISettings, you'll be able to toggle WiFi, Bluetooth and Airplane mode ON/OFF. UISettings will also allow you to power off, reboot or re-spring your iOS 5 device straight from the Notification Center.
So to get UISettings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you must download iOS 5 beta 1, activate it, restore it on your device and then jailbreak your device using redsn0w 0.9.8b1 for Mac. If you're a Windows user, you can't jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1 right now.
Once you have jailbroken iOS 5 beta 1, add this repository in Cydia : http://qwertyoruiop.com/beta.
This is just the begining, as we're pretty sure that many amazing third party widgets for iOS 5 Notification Center are on their way.
