This nifty little gadget caught our eye today. i-FlashDrive is an external storage solution for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that connects to the iOS device through the 30-pin dock connector.

The best thing about i-FlashDrive is that you can use it as a normal USB flash drive as well, with your Mac or PC. Similarly, i-FlashDrive can also be used to transfer files and data between the computer and supported iOS devices by simply plugging it in the dock connector, without needing any wireless or wired connection.

i-FlashDrive allows you to store, view and manage files on your iDevice, So once you plug in i-FlashDrive, you have to use the i-FlashDrive app in order to access the content stored on it. The app works on all supported iOS devices namely the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, 4G, iPad 1G, 2G and will be free to download from the App Store.

i-FlashDrive is available for pre-order right now, whereas shipping will begin in early July, the manufacturer claims. i-FlashDrive comes in three variants, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The 8GB i-FlashDrive costs $99, 16GB costs $119 and the 32GB variant costs $192.
