iH8sn0w has just released an update for Sn0wbreeze, adding support for jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 2 tethered on Windows. Sn0wbreeze is considered as the unofficial PwnageTool for Mac and we had expected that an update would be pushed out soon, considering the fact that iOS 5 beta 2 was released only yesterday.
Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 3 will jailbreak all iOS 5 supported devices, except the iPad 2. Download Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 3 to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPod touch 3G, 4G and iPad 1G tethered, while Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 3 will jailbreak iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) on iOS 5 beta 2 untethered.
Mac user? Don't worry. You can jailbreak iOS 5 beta 2 tethered on Mac as well using redsn0w 0.9.8b1. Yes, the very same redsn0w version which was released over two weeks ago for jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 1.
Apple released iOS 5 beta 2 yesterday for developers. However, we've posted download links of iOS 5 beta 2 for everyone. A word of advice: If you rely on a software based unlock for your iPhone, we strongly advice you not to upgrade to stock iOS 5 beta 2 firmware, as no unlocking solution is available for it yet, and even Gevey SIM has been blocked on iOS 5 beta 2.
However, if you are on a carrier locked, or an officially unlocked iPhone, you may upgrade to iOS 5 beta 2 without any problem, but before you do that, be sure to get the UDID of your device registered first. Here's how to find your iOS device UDID.
