iOS 5 beta 3 is out for developers and has once again got all Apple fans excited. On the other hand, what we are most excited about is that the ability to jailbreak beta iOS 5 firmware still exists. iH8sn0w has now released sn0wbreeze 2.8b4 to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3 untethered on iPhone 3GS [old bootrom] and tethered on iPhone 3GS [new bootrom], iPhone 4 (GSM)/(CDMA), iPod touch (3G)/(4G) and the iPad 1G.
On the other hand, if you like jailbreaking with JailbreakMe, please note that JailbreakMe 3.0 does not support iOS 5 beta 3. The exploit that it uses can not be integrated in programs such as redsn0w, sn0wbreeze and pwnagetool.
A couple of hours after iOS 5 beta 3 release, the iPhone Dev Team announced that the first beta of redsn0w 0.9.8 released to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1, would jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3. However, complaints of sandbox issues were coming in. Apps installed from the App Store were not opening due to this issue. To solve this, the iPhone Dev Team then released redsn0w 0.9.8b2 for both Windows and Mac.
Sn0wbreeze 2.8b4 is intended for developers only, although anyone can download and use it. Hactivation has also been disabled.
