We're been covering all sorts of information related to the iPhone 5 in the past couple of days and this was something that we just could not miss. An alleged iPhone 5 hands-on video is making the rounds on the internet and it turns out that the iPhone 5 being touted in that particular video, isn't exactly an iPhone 5. Confused? Hit the break for more details.

Earlier yesterday, we reported about a cheap iPhone 5 replica manufactured in China which is currently selling there for just $108. The obvious question remains, how do you make a replica of something that hasn't been released or seen as yet? The replica is stunningly similar to the rumours to iPhone 5 schematics we've been hearing over the past couple of weeks and one can't help but imagine that someone definitely knows something about the iPhone 5 in China.

If you consider the leaked iPhone 5 cases we've seen up till now, they give hints of a thin, tapered and lighter iPhone and this replica does look like it can fit in those cases. As previously mentioned, Apple has yet to reveal any detail about the next generation iPhone and the Chinese are already manufacturing and selling replica iPhone 5. One must not forget the fact that majority of the parts for Apple products come from China and nearly all of there products are assembled there as well. It won't be a long shot to say that quite a number of Chinese will be in the loop of what exactly the iPhone 5 looks like. So does this mean that design blueprints of the next generation iPhone have somehow fallen in the hands of replica manufacturers?

One must also consider the lucrative replica manufacturing industry in China. It's a common expression in third world countries that if you can't afford a gadget, you buy a Chinese copy which would give you all the looks but would lack on functionality. As we mentioned, there is a lucrative market for replicas, and this is the best time for replica manufacturers to churn out iPhone 5 replicas so as to capitalize as much as they can on the pre-release hype.

There's not even word on an exact iPhone 5 launch date as well. Sources claim that iPhone 5 USA release is slated for October, while earlier reports claim a September USA launch and a global iPhone 5 launch in October. Whatever the case may be, there is a lot of hype surrounding the next generation iPhone right now and its definitely high time for Apple to release its brand new iPhone in the market.
