I didn’t erase data, and use OTA to download the beta 6. After click install, I went out for a cup of coffee. When I got back, I see the “connect to itunes” screen. I connected it to iTunes, and it didn’t restore, error 1604 kept popping up.

Ok, by downloading the ipsw of beta 6 and restore it, everything is fine now. After install iOS 5, it is now allowed to simply downgrade to iOS 4.

    • Mamaitalia

Go into DFU - mode and update, not restore. iTunes should give you 4.3.5 . For me it worked fine. After that jailbreak and I was happy again.
