Apple iPhone 5 release is likely to be just around the corner yet still all we have learned about the phone are rumors. No one even knows for sure what the iPhone 5 will look like. There is no certainty about its features. The supposed features of the iPhone 5 are all rumors and there is a huge possibility that these rumors will be proved false. Despite such uncertainty, an iPhone 5 hard case has already gone on sale.
Apparently, an iPhone 5 design document was leaked a while ago after which we saw many renderings of the upcoming next generation iPhone. There's no official word on it's design as yet, but we have a hunch that its going to be thinner and lighter than all of its predecessors. This case however, put online for sale by True Supplier, tells a little different story. If you look closely, the mute switch has been moved to the other side and there's no place for a dual-LED flash, something which has previously been rumoured to debut in the iPhone 5.
Previously we saw images of a silicone iPhone 5 case from which we had an idea of what the iPhone 5 might look like. This strategy of releasing protective cases for a device before the actual release of the device is likely to make huge profits but it is a tremendous gamble! The iPhone 5 shape might not be like the shape mentioned in the rumours. In that case, what would be done with the protective cases? They would either be disposed, recycled, melted and remade. In all these cases, there will be a huge loss. The only way this loss can be avoided is by storing them just the way they are and hoping that iPhone 6 would fit in these cases! Although a loss is not likely, it is still a very risky gamble. It is also possible that the maker of the cases might have some sort of confirmation that the iPhone 5 will look like it is expected to look like.
Time and again we've said that the Chinese know something about the iPhone 5 which all of us don't. Keep in mind the fact that you can now buy a replica iPhone 5 in China and if you look at this particular iPhone 5 replica, you'll see how amazingly it compliments the rumoured thin profile of the real iPhone 5 that will probably be released this September. If we're lucky, iPhone 5 preorders will begin September 30.
Are the odds stacked up against these iPhone 5 case makers or will they succeed in making big profits at the end of the day? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
