After months of speculation, Apple has finally sent out invites to the media for its iPhone 5 release event. The event will be held on October 4 10 am pacific time at the Apple Town Hall Auditorium in Cupertino California.
We had been hearing rumours about a possible iPhone 5 release in October. Recently a very well connected source hinted that Apple will be holding iPhone 5 release event on October 4. After that, it came to our attention that Apple would not be holding the event in San Francisco, rather they will be sending out invites to a select few people who are going to attend iPhone 5 release event at the Apple Town Hall Auditorium in Cupertino California, which is the company's headquarters.
While we're excited for the fifth generation iPhone, we're also equally excited about new Apple CEO Tim Cook's first major product announcement. After Steve Jobs quit Apple earlier this month many speculated that Tim Cook would have a hard time coping up with the presentation legacy that Steve Jobs has left behind. It has also been touted as a possible reason behind the fact that Apple is not holding iPhone 5 release event at a large venue in San Francisco, rather Tim Cook is going to be on home turf at Apple HQ to make his first major product announcement.
As far as the iPhone 5 is concerned, rumours hint possible iPhone 5 features to be a dual-core A5 processor, 1GB of RAM, a bigger screen, thinner and tapered design and an 8 megapixel camera. It has also been said that Apple will release a cheap iCloud powered iPhone which will simply be a toned down version of the iPhone 4. Some have even said that Apple will also be unveiling a 3G fifth generation iPod touch. However one thing will be released for sure, at the iPhone 5 release event, Apple is finally going to make iOS 5 available to the public.
We're really excited about the fact that finally Apple has confirmed the launch of this year's biggest smartphone. Once again, the event is scheduled for October 4 at 10 am pacific time. If you can't be there in Cupertino, don't worry as iPhoneism will be bringing you all the latest updates from iPhone 5 release event on October 4.
