Apple has just revealed iPhone 4S, its next generation iPhone. iPhone 4S pre-orders will start on October 7 in the USA, which is a Friday.
Design wise, there is nothing new about iPhone 4S. Its the same design, same dimensions and the same screen size. The difference can be seen under the hood. The iPhone 4S comes with a dual-core A5 CPU that gives it over 7x greater gaming capability. Battery time has also been increased as talk time is now of 8 hours. Apart from that, the iPhone 4S has an 8 megapixel camera with full HD 1080p video recording capability. Siri Assistant feature is probably the most coolest feature of iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S is a dual-mode world phone, meaning that it is compatible with both GSM and CDMA networks simultaneously.
Apple has revealed that we'll be able to pre-order iPhone 4S starting this Friday, October 7. iPhone 4S is priced at $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB with a two year contract. iPhone 4S will start shipping in the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, UK and Germany on October 14, two days after iOS 5 public release. Apart from AT&T and Verizon Wireless, Sprint also gets iPhone 4S. So now customers in the USA can buy iPhone 4S from either AT&T, Verizon Wireless or Sprint Nextel. Since the iPhone 4S is a world phone, Apple would not have to make different versions for GSM and CDMA networks.
Though iPhone 4S is not something that everyone had been waiting for, the redesigned iPhone 5, it sure does bring a lot of new features. How will the consumers react to this, that obviously remains to be seen. So, are you going to pre-order iPhone 5 on October 7? We know we are.
