Apple announced iPhone 4S at a media event on October 4. Pre-orders of iPhone 4S started on October 7 and in just 24 hours, over 1 million iPhone 4S units have been pre-ordered. Apple has sold out of its initial U.S. pre-order stock. Apple revealed at the event at iPhone 4S shipping will begin in Germany, USA, UK, France, Japan and Australia on October 14 while shipping to another 22 countries would begin from October 28. Turns out that some customers in Germany have already received their iPhone 4S prior to official launch date, hence they provided iPhone 4S unboxing pictures.
