On October 22nd, Apple started pre-orders of iPhone 4S in 22 countries besides the 7 initial countries where pre-orders had started on October 7th. Currently, iPhone 4S is available in 29 countries and will be available in a total of 34 countries after November 11th. Apple is expected to make iPhone 4S available in 70 countries around the world by the end of 2011.
The iPhone 4S is Apple's greatest iPhone release to date. Regardless of the fact that its just a minor upgrade over the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S has still managed to break all records set by its predecessor. On the day pre-orders were opened for the first time in 7 countries, Apple received over 1 million pre-orders in just one day and by the first weekend, over 4 million pre-orders had been made in just those 7 countries alone.
The iPhone 4S, while not having any cosmetic improvements, has a dual-core processor, a 64GB model, iOS 5, an 8 megapixel camera and virtual assistant Siri. These are just some of the differences between iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Regardless of the fact that iPhone 4S retains the design of fourth generation iPhone, it is by far the most sophisticated and advanced iPhone yet. With their revolutionary virtual assistant Siri, Apple has set the bar for commercial use of artificial intelligence. It goes without saying that residents of the aforementioned 15 countries will be more than happy that they're finally getting the iPhone 4S.
