As previously mentioned, you need to have a developer account with Apple in order to download iOS 5.0.1 IPSW for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The developer account alone costs $99 per annum and non-developers wouldn't consider spending that much for only trying out beta firmware. Apple released iOS 5 for public on October 12, after seeding seven betas first to developers. During our testing of all iOS 5 betas, we could see a pattern in which it was evident that with each latest beta, Apple would perfect and remove any bugs whatsoever in its latest and greatest update of iOS mobile platform. Nevertheless, its still not fully perfect as many issues have been reported with iOS 5. For that purpose, iOS 5.0.1 has currently been seeded only to developers and will be released to the public within the coming weeks.
