How To Remove H1Siri Port From iPhone 4 And iPod Touch 4G

A while back we posted a full tutorial on how to install the latest working and fully functional Siri port on iPhone 4 and iPod touch. However it turns out that its causing quite a number of problems. So in this post, you'll learn how you can remove H1Siri port from your device.

The Issues:

A number of H1Siri early adopters have reached out to us through our Facebook Page, Twitter and comments on the actual guide itself complaining about the various bugs that they have encountered after installing H1Siri port. The issues include Camera and Settings app being broken, random rebooting, device getting stuck at Apple logo or pineapple logo if jailbroken tethered and to the horror of few, completely bricking the device in way that even i-Funbox or DiskAid can't recognize it.

So naturally you would want to remove H1Siri from your device to get all of its functionality back. Though its hard to do that when your device is stuck in a boot loop or bricked. Not to worry, in this post we'll show you just how you can remove H1Siri port from your iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G.

How To Remove H1Siri Port From iPhone 4 And iPod Touch 4G:

If your Camera and Settings app are broken and the device is stuck in Safe Mode loop, follow the instructions given below:

Step 1: Launch Cydia and remove H1Siri

Step 2: Download MobileTerminal from Cydia. Its available for free

Step 3: Launch MobileTerminal and type su root and enter alpine as its the default password. If you've manually changed your root password, then enter your custom one

Step 4: Now type apt-get install com.sull.sysclean. After that type apt-get autoremove and press Y when prompted. When process finishes, restart your device.

After the device reboots you'll notice that H1Siri will be removed completely from your device and the Camera as well as Settings app will be functional again.

If H1Siri has bricked your iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4G, follow the steps listed here:

Step 1: Reset your device by holding both the Power and Home button for up to 10 seconds. The Apple logo will appear at this point. When it does, you're good to go.

Step 2: Connect your device to the computer and use whatever software you want, i-Funbox or DiskAid for root access. Navigate to the following paths and delete the respective files:

/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld.h1siribak
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app.h1siribak
/Applications/Preferences.app.h1siribak

Step 3: If resetting your device doesn't work, put it in DFU mode. Before you do that, make sure that you put it on charge for 20 minutes. Here's how to put your device in DFU mode. After that, connect your device to the computer, launch iTunes and do a clean firmware install.

Note: If you're on iOS 5.0 and want to retain that firmware, download iFaith 1.4 and grab your APTicket and iOS 5.0 SHSH blob so that you're able to restore iOS 5.0 on your device because Apple is no longer signing this firmware and you won't be able to restore to iOS 5.0 using iTunes.

So this is h0w you remove H1Siri from iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G. If you encounter any problems, leave a comment and we'll help you at once.

Aren’t these folders the backup that H1Siri made? Why would you delete them?

    • Eric

If bricked, delete files as per instruction above, then get into DFU mode by pressing power and home button for 10 seconds, and then let go power but keep holding home for another 10 seconds. After that use Redsnow to “JUST REBOOT”. You will see the pineapple logo for a few minutes. After that phone will reboot by itself.

i-Funbox isn’t recognizing my device, neither is DiskAid. I’m using an iPod touch 4G and its stuck on the apple logo and it wont go into DFU mode. Jailbroke tethered with redsn0w. Any suggestions?
*Edit* I got it to go into recovery mode, but I don’t want to do a restore. Anything else I can do? (Recovery mode and the Apple boot logo is all i can get to.)

    Hi,

I followed your instructions, I used drive aid to remove the H1Siri files, but still no joy. Fails to boot successfully or go into a DFU mode, tried to recover in itunes, it briefly displays the itunes connect logo then goes back to the apple logo then an itunes error 2002. Is my phone bricked completely, is there anything else I can try, Much appreciated.

Here’s how I fixed my bricked iPhone 4.

Use DiskAid to remove those three files.

    Put iPhone in DFU mode.

Run Redsn0w and select just boot tethered.

    Worked like a charm:)

i-funbox and diskaid isn’t recognizing my device. its stuck on the apple logo and it wont go into DFU mode. Its jail broken and it was tethered until my brother untethered it with corona through cydia. I tried iexplorer, but its not showing up there either. I connected my ipod to my mac and its not being recognized on itunes either. I’m not quite sure how to put it in recovery mode, so if someone could help me, that would be awesome.

    Okay, I have a iPod Touch 3G 32GB.
I fixed the Stuck on Apple Logo problem.

First, Download the newest verison of Redsn0w.
Now, Open Redsn0w and click “Extras”
    Like “Boot”

Now, After doing that. Wait til the Pwnapple logo comes up and than you see a spinning spiral.

After you see that, open IfunBox and delete the 3 folders listed..
    /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld.h1siribak
    /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app.h1siribak
    /Applications/Preferences.app.h1siribak

After that. push the Power button and home button at once. Than turn your idevice back on. Than you should be back to normal..

If not back to normal “boot” again and see what happens.
    Hope I helped.
