While 5.1 iOS is currently in beta stage at this moment, there's a surprise for wallpaper freaks. The unreleased official iOS 5.1 iPad wallpapers are now available for download. They have also been scaled down to fit on the iPhone and iPod touch.
iOS 5.1 is currently in beta stage as previously mentioned. Only a week back the second beta of iOS 5.1 was seeded to developers for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. iOS 5.1 is going to be a major update to the platform after iOS 5.0 firmware was officially released to the public on October 12. It is expected that iOS 5.1 will be released in March, alongside the iPad 3. For now, we just have to make do with these unreleased iPad wallpapers.
These four iPad wallpapers are the official ones that will come with iOS 5.1 for iPad. However not only have they been provided, but also have been resized to fit on iPhone and iPod touch by the wonderful people over at 9to5Mac. They also reveal that these iPad wallpapers don't seem to be for an iPad with Retina Display, does this mean that the third-generation iPad won't come with a Retina Display after all? Only time will tell.
We all love the iPad and some of us are constantly on the lookout for new iPad wallpapers. Apple always releases a new set of wallpapers with either a major firmware update or a new product and most of the time, both of them are announced at the same time. Therefore these iPad wallpapers will be available by default on the iPad 3, should it be released this March if Apple follows its typical one year product release cycle. At this point in time, there's no specific information available about the iPad 3. There have been rumours that its in production and will be announced in March 2012. We for one, look forward to that day.
