Looks like the iPad 2 iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak release is really imminent now. Legendary iOS hacker @planetbeing has just revealed that the team is no longer facing sandbox issues with this impending untethered jailbreak.
Only last week we reported that a bunch of legendary iOS hackers have joined forces to aid @pod2g in his quest for an iPad 2 iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak release. One of these hackers is @planetbeing, an iconic figure who is known for his amazing work during the early days of jailbreaking. He is also credited with releasing the first fully automated jailbreak for iPod touch back in 2007. He is also a core member of the iPhone Dev Team. Apart from him, @Saurik the creator of Cydia, @MuscleNerd from iPhone Dev Team and @p0sixninja from the Chronic Dev Team are also working alongside @pod2g.
Merely an hour ago, @planetbeing sent out a tweet revealing that the team is now free of sandbox issues that had been the primary cause of delay for iPad 2 iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak release. As it turns out, Jay Freeman a.k.a @Saurik's invaluable help has been vital in providing this break through. Given this update, we can safely say that a release is not far from now.
It should be kept in mind that the team has a working jailbreak for A5 based iPad 2 and iPhone 4S however they have yet to find an exploitable bug that can be used to distribute this jailbreak. On top of that, sandbox issues caused even more delay in iPad 2 iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak release. Now with that out of the way, it shouldn't be long till we finally get a release.
May we remind you that if Apple releases iOS 5.0.2 before this jailbreak gets released, do not upgrade to it as you may risk not being able to jailbreak untethered. Also, do save your iPhone 4S, iPad 2 iOS 5.0.1 SHSH blobs just to be on the safe side.
We'll let you know as soon as more updates come in regarding iPad 2 iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak release. You can also keep up with the latest updates by following us on Twitter.
