just a question what is the point of the full erase?

    • http://www.iphoneism.com Lota Man

So that Absinthe doesn’t take a lot of time to create and then restore from backup. Sent from my BlackBerry® Smartphone provided by Ufone

I’ve seen people talking about it, but never found an answer. Anyone know why my Calendar icon is now transparent? I have no white icons, nothing went wrong. I just can’t seem to get it to fix itself. Does this indicate the same thing as white icons (failed jailbreak and need to re-do)?

A fresh restore + jailbreak will fix it.

Thanks for the quick answer. Any idea if this is necessary? I don’t mind it, but if it means that the jailbreak didn’t work correctly then I will go ahead and restore.

I launch the “Jailbreak” icon from my iPad 2, and the App just show the following message “ABSINTHE is now setting things up, please stand-by…”

How long does the screen there? How long does the process take?

My iPad 2 is connected to Internet through a 3G connection.

    Regards!

It will take a lot of time on 3G. Should have done on Wi-Fi.

One more question = Can I stop the App, reboot the iPad and run again the process? Could this step damage the iPad?
