A new Siri jailbreak tweak called AssistantExtensions has been released. This jailbreak tweak breathes a new life in to the virtual personal assistant on your brand new iPhone 4S.

Siri is capable of doing many things. Here's a whole list of Siri commands. The fact remains that there are many functions we want Siri to have, but they are not supported. For example we can't launch apps, toggle settings or even Tweet using Siri. However that changes with the Siri jailbreak tweak we're talking about here. AssistantExtensions adds that much needed functionality.

A number of other Siri jailbreak tweak developers have released their works as well. None have been at par with AssistantExtensions. This particular jailbreak tweak brings together functionality from all those different tweaks. The best part is that AssistantExtensions is available for download free of cost from Cydia. It is hosted in the BigBoss repository.

Using the AssistantExtensions jailbreak tweak you can send Tweets using Siri provided that the Twitter account you want to post Tweets to is integrated in your device. This can be done by going in the Settings.app and tapping on Twitter in the menu. You can also toggle SBSettings using this tweak. Turning WiFi on or off, increasing or decreasing brightness, device respring are some of the functions SBSettings offers and all of these functions are now controllable using AssistantExtensions.

We're bound to see a number of Siri jailbreak tweak releases in the coming months but by far this particular one is the most useful. This does borrow some functionality from SiriToggles and if you have it installed, better remove it before installing AssistantExtensions to avoid any conflicts between both tweaks.
