TPSIM is a new interposer that claims to offer iPhone 4S unlock baseband 1.0.11, 1.0.13, 1.0.14 solution. This interposer is available for pre-order right now.
Currently no hardware or software based unlock is available for iPhone 4S. Officially unlocked iPhones can be purchased directly from Apple. An iOS 5.0 unlock for iPhone 4S is reportedly in the works. iPhone 4 unlockers stuck on higher basebands will be familiar with Gevey SIM interposer. TPSIM works on that very same principle.
ChinaSnow is the team behind TPSIM interposer. They claim that it will offer a permanent iPhone 4S unlock baseband 1.0.11, 1.0.13 and 1.0.14 solution. An interposer works by spoofing the IMSI or International Mobile Subscriber Identity of the device. This allows the iPhone to be unlocked on basebands that can not be unlocked using ultrasn0w. There are some downside to a hardware based iPhone unlock. The interposer must be plugged in at all times along with the micro-sim inside the device. Also, if the iPhone runs out of charge the whole unlock procedure will have to be done again. This is not the case with software based unlock, which is why they're generally preferred. Not to mention they're free!
The feature list and video demonstration of TPSIM interposer is as follows:

- Unlock works on all world networks.

The fact remains that no one is really sure whether iPhone 4S unlock baseband solution is TPSIM. There is no proof of legitimacy, for all we know it can be a scam to rip people off. TPSIM is exhorbitantly priced at $84.95 and is only available for pre-order right now. The term setting off red flags here is pre-order.
